The Venerable Jay Cayangyang, Rector

Father Jay was installed as the Rector (Senior Pastor) of Bishop Seabury Anglican Church on July 17, 2015. Previously, he served as Canon to the Ordinary for the Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy of the Anglican Church in North America.

Father Jay was ordained a deacon and a priest in 1996. He has served churches in California, Virginia, and Florida. As a chaplain in the United States Navy Reserve, he has had numerous active-duty and reserve assignments including mobiIization with Marines in Iraq.  In addition to his parish responsibilities, he serves as Archdeacon of the Northeast for CANA East.

Father Jay enjoys reading, walking, studying maps, and visiting historical sites. He and his wife, Linda, have five children.

The Rev'd Stan Price, Assistant Priest

Father Stan was born in Newbury, Massachusetts. He and his wife Debbie have been blessed with four children. Debbie went to be with the Lord in 2015. She has left us, if so temporarily,  with a  legacy of lovely relationships and a testimony of good and steadfast faithfulness in the midst of cancer.

Stan spent 27 years in the Navy and then he and Debbie relocated to Groton in 1996.   Stan was being coached for service to God at an early age. He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ while listening to Billy Graham. Throughout his Naval career, Stan was mentored by a chaplain, who seemed to be following him from duty station to duty station.

In 2007, Stan had a serious motorcycle accident. As he lay below an embankment, he had a strong sense of God's presence.  During his recovery, he began his studies for the diaconate and ultimately was ordained a priest in 2012.
